Whilst Charlotte was going through the devastating ordeal, Gary was away in Thailand filming Ex on the Beach and slept with Jemma Lucy and was involved in a threesome with other cast mates.

The reality favourite recently opened up about how it made her feel in the most recent episode of her own podcast Values And Vibrators with Charlotte Crosby.

Charlotte revealed that she asked if Gary could have his phone so that she could talk to him everyday for support, but deep down wanted him to return home to be there for her.

She said: “In the back of my mind, and I think every girl will know this, you don’t want to tell them to come home… but you want them to be there, but you want them to do that of their own back.

“You want them to be like I need to leave this show now, I want to get on the first flight home and be by the side of the girl that I apparently care so much about… but that just never happened.

“He carried on filming and, we spoke every other day on the phone and he insisted ‘oh it’s been great, nothing has happened with any girls’.

“And obviously that was a lie because when it came on telly shortly afterwards… I don’t really need to say any more than that.”

As Charlotte recalled the heartbreaking time in her life, the emotions got the better of her and broke down in tears.

She continued: “I suffered a lot. I lost my organs, I was in hospital and I nearly died and I kind of like, not that you get over it, but you start to feel like everything is like everything is feeling a bit better.

“You know, that happened, you’re moving on and then that TV show comes out and obviously, in the end, when he was out filming, we just stopped speaking, the phone calls stopped and that was it really.”

Back in 2016 Charlotte was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain and was told that she was suffering an ectopic pregnancy, which is where the foetus develops outside the womb.

The star thought that she was just having a really bad period at the time.

She told  Heat magazine: “[The pains started while] we were filming the advert for Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle [in early April 2016].

“I thought I had a really bad period because I was bleeding and cramping – I can’t describe the pain, it was awful.

“It was really hard to walk because the pain was shooting down my leg…I was literally limping. It was the worst pain.”

Charlotte revealed she hadn’t renewed her prescription for the pill and took the morning-after pill instead, but not until the 72-hour window was almost up.

Four days after Gary left, the pain got so bad that she couldn’t walk and she went straight to hospital.

She said: “[The doctor] put me in a wheelchair and I collapsed out of it. I was fitting on the floor and it was just so scary.

“I didn’t know what the hell was going on and I was in so much pain. Then the X-ray showed how much damage had been caused. Because I’d left it a week, it’d torn open my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally.

“He said: ‘It’s so dangerous. If you’d have left it any longer, you could have died.’ I just burst into tears. I was just so scared.”

Charlotte and Gary met on the first ever series of MTV’s Geordie Shore back in 2011.

The pair’s on/off relationship was documented throughout their time on the programme, with Charlotte making her feelings very known towards the hunk and declaring her love for his “parsnip” penis.

After years of keeping viewers guessing if they’d ever get together, the two decided to give it a go.
