She is also trying to woo Antoinette Sandbach, Huw Merriman and Alberto Costa.

Ms Allen admitted that if all seven quit the Conservatives it would send Theresa May’s government crashing down.

She told LBC: “All of us are talking to our ex colleagues who are very sympathetic and agree with what we have done.”

Challenged to name names, she rattled off the seven Tory MPs.

Ms Allen added: “We are chatting to all our good friends who are committed to the same things as us.

Ms Allen leads a group of 11 MPs who split from Labour and the Tories in fury to set up a new party to try to stop Brexit.

The gang have scrambled to get registered as a proper political party in time to fight the EU elections, expected to be held at the end of May.

They have claimed to have been inundated with a flood of requests from pro EU Brits desperate to stand for the party.

But so far they have failed to convince a single other MP to quit and join their group.

Mr Bebb told The Sun: “I like Heidi but she’s possibly overstating her case.”

Ms Sandbach told The Sun: “Like any marriage proposal, asking risks getting the answer no.”

The Sun Says

OUR political parties need new names.

The Conservatives aren’t conservative. Labour sneers at the working class.

Most laughable is Change UK, the new vehicle for Labour and Tory defectors.

Change doesn’t come bigger than Brexit. But they violently reject that. They are passionate about the status quo.

They wouldn’t even change the Government, knowing their constituents would change THEM at a snap election.

All they really want is to change BACK to Blair’s era, or Cameron’s.

Voters are sick of the lies politicians have told, Remainers in particular.

Honesty really would make a change.
