Champions League draw TV channel: When is it? What TV channel is group stage draw on?


Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham will learnt their opponents along with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

Jurgen Klopp will want to defend the trophy won at the end of last season by reaching a third straight final.

But Pep Guardiola will be even more desperate to have European success at City with the final taking place in Istanbul next May.

Premier League sides will have to go some to replicate the success they had last season and you can watch them discover their group stage fate from 5pm.

Champions League draw TV channel – How to watch

The Champions League draw for the group stage with be shown live on BT Sport 2.

Coverage is due to start at 4.30pm ahead of the draw and the entire programme is scheduled to last for just over two hours.

BT Sport customers will also be able to stream the event via website and official app.

Those without a BT Sport subscription will still be able to see the draw through UEFA’s official website.

Champions League draw format – How does it work?

The draw is made up of 32 clubs, 26 of whom qualified directly while six came through the play-offs.

The teams have been be split into four seeding pots for the draw, with Pot 1 consisting of the Champions League holders, the UEFA Europa League winners and the champions of the six highest-ranked nations.

Pots 2 to 4 have been determined by the club coefficient rankings.

No team from the same country can face one another in the group stages of the competition.
