CEW Beauty Awards 2020: these are officially this year’s best beauty products

It can be hard to cut through the noise of the beauty industry.

In between the newest ‘It’ ingredients to the latest product launches, navigating the needs from the wants is no small feat.

But when brands or their latest hyperbolic launches receive endorsements from a trusted organisation, the search becomes markedly more straightforward.

One such trusted organisation is CEW, which is a not-for-profit professional organisation with more than 1,000 members in the United Kingdom. Its annual Beauty Awards, which have been referred to as the “Oscars of Beauty”, are regarded as one of the most lauded in the industry and are voted on by over 1,000 CEW members, both industry insiders and experts alike.

How does it work?

There are three sections to the CEW Beauty Awards: mass market, prestige and mass market + prestige, and within them there are several categories – from best brand to best targeted skincare. Brands enter themselves for the awards (just one product per brand is allowed per category) and winners are chosen by the members of CEW via an anonymous online ballot.

The only exception to this is The Responsible Beauty Award, which is chosen by a panel of judges. This award, which was introduced last year, was this year won by Beauty Kubes, a plastic-free, zero-waste, and vegan solid shampoo brand.

From Charlotte Tilbury to Elemis, Molton Brown to The Ordinary, these are the winners of the CEW Beauty Awards 2020.
