Celtic have now won all three domestic trophies in each of the last three seasons.
They won the League Cup back in December last year under former manager Brendan Rodgers before his controversial switch to Leicester in February.
Lennon came in for a second spell in charge to take over and steady the ship and secured the league title before getting his hands on the Cup.
Rodgers became something of a hate figure among supporters after defecting to the Foxes mid-season.
However, the majority of them were quick to thank him for building the foundations for their incredible achievement.
“Thank you @celticfc! Thank you to all the players, staff and board,” one said on Twitter.
“Thank you to Brendan Rodgers and the legend that is Neil Lennon.
“Thank you SO much. I followed that game from the Clumpany Towers beach and it was an absolutely brutal experience!”
Another agreed: “This is the house that Brendan Rodgers built. No matter how he left, you cannot deny that the man changed Celtic for good. Thanks, Brendan. God bless.”
A third added: “Some achievement by Celtic. Fans may not think it but Brendan Rodgers deserves massive credit. What a job he done.”
Another agreed: “Gonna say it but well done has to go to Brendan Rodgers too . Well done in a treble treble.”
Others were quick to deflect the praise onto Lennon who has done a good job since making his return.
One said on Twitter: “Neil Lennon said this was Brendan Rodgers’ team & way of playing but this is Neil’s victory & his day.
“He’s written himself into folklore. I don’t think he is the long term manager but the club could have asked for nobody better to step into the breach.”
Another agreed: “When Brendan Rodgers walked out we could barely imagine winning at Tynecastle the next night but Neil Lennon brought this squad over the top to achieve something that at times looked well beyond the legs of these players.
“A wartime leader and a Celtic icon forever.”
