Celine Dion wears iconic Titanic necklace at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

It’s been over 22 years since Celine Dion first belted out My Heart Will Go On, the theme to box office hit Titanic. This week, though, the singer has showed she still has a soft spot for her iconic song.

Stepping out at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week on Wednesday, the 51-year-old, at first glance, seemed to have dressed down for the day in a ‘I heart Paris Hilton’ tee, oversized blazer and black mini skirt.

For a hit of glamour, the laid back ensemble was accessorised with a large blue diamond heart necklace. Look closer and you’ll see it’s actually a replica of the ‘Heart of the Ocean’, worn by Rose DeWitt Bukater (played by Kate Winslet) in the 1997 film.

The ensemble was from the Vetements spring/summer 2020 collection, which took place in a McDonalds (no less) on the Champs-Elysées at Paris Fashion Week Men’s only a few weeks back.

It’s not the first time designer Demna Gvasalia has paid homage to the popular film. In 2016, the French label sent a Jack and Rose hoodie down the catwalk, which caused a social media frenzy when Dion wore the garment during Paris Haute Couture Week the same year.

This also wouldn’t the first time Dion has been seen in the iconic necklace.

The singer previously wore a 171-carat replica of the item at the 1998 Oscars, where she performed the hit song. Proving that the necklace, just like Celine, is as timeless as ever.
