Celebs Go Dating's Jack Fincham finally admits what went wrong with ex Dani Dyer

They may have nabbed the coveted 50K cash prize and walked out of the Love Island villa hand-in-hand, but their fairytale relationship didn’t last.

Though he usually keeps tight-lipped on the subject, Jack Fincham finally opened up about his romance with ex Dani Dyer on Celebs Go Dating last night.

The lovebirds announced they’d decided to split back in April, as the 28-year-old hunk broke the news with a heartfelt statement over Instagram.

It came as a shock to their many fans, especially as they had a spin-off TV show in the works, and had recently moved in together.

Chatting to dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson, the former pen salesman reflected on his failed relationship with 23-year-old Dani.

He explained: “Dani is the one I was attracted to. We just sort of clicked, like, personality-wise. Then we just spent every day together for two months. That’s intense.

“But when we lived together… I think if we had lived in Love Island forever we’d have been fine. But we didn’t. We rushed it, we moved straight in together straight away.”

When asked why they were so hasty about moving into the same flat, he said: “I wish we’d have waited. I let her rush it a little bit.

“We had a genuine connection in there, and I think anyone could see that. I mean this from the bottom of my heart, I wish her all the happiness in the world, I’m not a bitter person.”

Jack also confessed that he has never been properly “in love” before and that he is “100% over” Dani.

WHOOPS: Jack branded his date a “disaster” (Pic: E4)

Unfortunately, when the romance gurus set him up on a date with brunette bombshell Chiara, his chat-up lines needed a little fine-tuning.

Their dinner date was a flop and the pair decided to never meet again, with Jack later branding the experience a “disaster”.

Luckily, the relationship experts in the dating agency have a few more potential candidates lined up – fingers crossed he can turn on the charm with his next match.

Celebs Go Dating continues weeknights at 9pm on E4.
