Celebrity Players Announced for Pro Bowl: The Madden NFL 21 Edition


Electronic Arts and the NFL  announced the celebrities taking part in this year’s Madden NFL Bowl. The Madden NFL 21 Edition Presented by Verizon will be streamed on the NFL’s YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and on the EA Madden NFL Twitch on Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. EST.

Celebrities taking part in the event include Snoop Dogg, Deshaun Watson, Derrick Henry, and Keyshawn Johnson will represent the AFC, while Quavo, Marshawn Lynch, Kyler Murray, and Jamal Adams will play for the NFC.  

The event will be played remotely, with a new competitor “tapping in to play each quarter.” Michaeel Strahan and Charissa Thompson will serve as the hosts, with Tyler “Ninja” Blevins,  Kristopher “FaZe Swagg” Lamberson, AustinShow (real name unknown), and AMP (real name unknown) hosting “live watch parties” on their respective channels. The air re-airing of the event will take place at 8 p.m. EST and 12:30 a.m. EST on NFL Network.

As part of EA’s week-long celebration leading up to its annual celebrity event, the Madden NFL 21 Club Championship featuring the top 32 Madden NFL players will take place Thursday and Friday on its Twitch channel. The competition features a $750K USD prize pool, with the top-ranked player taking home $150K. The competition will take place Thursday and Friday at 5 p.m. EST on the EA Madden NFL Twitch channel.  

The EA Madden NFL Twitch channel will also begin showing a variety of content in the lead up to Sunday’s event, beginning at 3 p.m. EST Monday with a Madden NFL 21 charity tournament, theChunky’s Million Meals Challenge presented by Target. Fans can also catch the NFL Flag Madden 21 Youth ClubChampionship presented by Subway one Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST.

Finally, EA announced that a free trial of the game – including on Google’s Stadia (it will launch on the platform Thursday) – will be available on supported platforms and will be made available Jan. 28 – 31.  After the trial ends, Madden NFL 21: Superstar Edition will be discounted by 60% across all platforms until Feb. 8.
