EARLIER this week, Stacey Solomon was praised for showing the reality of childbirth after welcoming a son with boyfriend Joe Swash.
The Loose Women star – who already has two children – was pictured in hospital, covered with a blood-spattered blanket and clutching her newborn who arrived early.
And mums across the country have been praising Stacey for the “beautifully powerful picture” with one fan commenting: “I love this photo more than any photo on Instagram. Why? Because it’s real, because it’s perfect it’s Stacey down to a T.
“She’s real she’s not fake she’s showing the world exactly what it is to have a baby she’s exhausted but still perfect in every way.”
But Stacey isn’t the only celeb mum to post an honest snap following birth.
A number of high-profile mums have shunned the polished post-birth pose, preferring to keep things real on social media.

From Robbie Williams and Ayda Field’s candid Instagram snap, to a bare-faced Christine Lampard posing with her newborn, these intimate images show the reality of birth.
Earlier this month, Laura Jackson posted the first image of her daughter, Sidney Frances Gorrigan, explaining she “has a new found love of women and what our bodies can do”.
The incredibly honest photograph featured Laura and husband Jon, cradling Sidney just moments after giving birth.

Meanwhile, Jools Oliver and Kourtney Kardashian shared images of their children just seconds after arriving.
The eldest Kardashian was even filmed pulling out her second baby – Penelope – for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Katie Piper also posted an image taken moments after birth.
The mum shared the photo on her social media earlier this year, captioned: “Another birthday gone for Belle today and this moment in the photo feels like only yesterday – unsure first time mum, we were lucky the NHS nurses, midwives and consultants were great and guided me in what to do.
“Time passes us by so quickly, all these special moments ours to store and remember.”

Amy Schumer – whose son shares a birthday with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first child, Archie – has also been praised by mums for her incredibly real snaps.
The comedian – who first shared a very honest photograph post birth – has been sharing a selection of images since welcoming her child, including one of her on the toilet while still hooked up to machinery and a drip.
Singer Jessie Ware – who gave birth in her living room – shared a powerful image, too.
Taking to Instagram to share her baby news, the mum wrote: “Last night I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in my living room.
“I couldn’t have done it without the MOST fantastic NHS Homerton Homebirthing team: Francine, Annie and Roisin. The level of care and kindness they offered us was incredible.
“Once again I’m reminded how much we should cherish our special NHS.”
The One Show presenter Alex Jones, as well as Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe, Danielle Lloyd and Gordon Ramsay’s wife Tana, posted similar images.
Beaming with happiness, the three women shared their happy news from their hospital beds.

Meanwhile, Love Island’s Tyla Carr appeared to still be in the operating theatre for her post-birth snap.
“The moment my whole world was turned upside down,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve never been so lost for words. I just cried and cried and cried. Happiest time of my life.”
