Celeb dads who denied paternity until DNA tests – from Jude Law to Eddie Murphy

Drake has finally showed off his toddler lovechild Adonis, who he fathered during a fling with former adult actress Sophie Brussaux.

But he kept his child a secret before two DNA tests proved he was two-year-old Adonis’ father.

Before going public with news that he’d become a dad, Drake was called out by fellow rapper Pusha T – who accused the star of hiding his secret son because of Sophie’s previous job.

Drake’s reps initially denied the claims and branded Sophie a liar because of her porn background.

Drake was accused of hiding his son from the world because he was ’embarrassed’ to have a kid with a former porn star he’d only met twice

Now that the results of the test have come through, Drake appears to be focusing on being a good father to Adonis.

Here’s a look at more denying celebrity dads over the years who were proved wrong by DNA tests.

Jude Law

Actor Jude Law found himself at the middle of a bitter paternity battle in 2009 with an American model called Samantha Burke.

Samantha, then 24, was pregnant after a fling with Jude, then 36.

Jude initially denied being the father of Samantha’s baby and the public wondered if Samantha was just trying to receive a payout from Jude.

She gave birth to a girl, and Jude took a DNA test which concluded he was indeed the father.

Jude claimed the baby girl would negatively impact on his relationship with amicable ex wife Sadie and their three children, who were aged between 7 and 14 at the time.

He insisted to Sadie that he had only slept with Samantha once, but Samantha claimed they had a week-long whirlwind romance.

She is understood to have asked for £6,000-a-month child maintenance and £1,200 a month for rent and bills.

But he maintained he would support his daughter, Sophia, financially – but it’s alleged he only sees her once a year.

Jeremy McConnell

Jeremy made headlines when he and Stephanie Davis fell in love on CelebrityBig Brother – while she was in a relationship.

Their disastrous and toxic relationship came to an end but Steph announced she was pregnant one month later.

Irish model Jeremy denied he was the baby’s father, and Steph forced him to take a DNA test, which he did live on This Morning.

Asked in an interview with Ireland’s TV Now Magazine about claims he’s going to be a dad, he said: “That’s ridiculous.

“I’m not going to be a dad. If she is pregnant, it’s not mine.”

He claimed Steph wanted him to sign an “unreasonable contract” to get the DNA test results, though he was unable to reveal why he felt it was unreasonable due to legal reasons.

Jeremy denied he was Caben-Albi’s father

He argued Steph was intimate with another man at the same time she was with him.

The test proved he was the dad to baby Caben-Albi, and he insisted he would be in his son’s life.

But Steph and Jeremy’s relationship descended into such chaos that Jeremy no longer sees Caben at all, and he recently revealed his focus is only on his new daughter Storm with girlfriend Katie McCreath.

Mel and Eddie had a six-month relationship

Eddie Murphy

When Spice Girl Mel B announced she was pregnant after a relationship with Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy, he vehemently denied he was the father.

Angel was born in 2007, and Eddie took a DNA test soon after, which proved he was her dad.

But Mel has since revealed it took Eddie three and a half years to acknowledge Angel as his daughter, before he suddenly wanted to be in her life again.

Mel said she was branded a “gold digger” and an opportunist by Eddie’s fans, and said her pregnancy was an incredibly difficult time.

Eddie reportedly no longer has any contact with Angel, who will turn 12 this year, with Mel’s ex Stephen Belafonte alleging she has always called him “dad” and that he has been her father figure.

Mick Jagger now has eight children

Eddie, 58, now has ten children from four different women, aged from three to 30 years old.

Mick Jagger

Rolling Stones rocker Mick claimed model Luciana Morad was lying when she said she was pregnant with his child.

He claimed women often said they were pregnant by him in a bid for fame, fortune and attention.
