Catherine Tyldesley: Strictly star’s husband joins her in rehearsals after 'curse' warning

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Catherine Tyldesley, 35, is partnered up with professional dancer Johannes Radebe, 32, on this year’s series.

The former Coronation Street actress has been keeping her social media fans up to date with her progress on the show, recently joking she had almost vomited on her dance partner.

Today, she shared a video from her husband’s Instagram page of him filming their four-year-old Alfie in the training room.

In a short Boomerang clip, Tom filmed Alfie running across the floor while Catherine and Johannes could be seen in the background.

Tom shared the clip to his Instagram story in view of his 6, 233 followers with the caption: “Alfie showing them how it’s done.”

Catherine later shared a video of Johannes swinging the couple’s son around in the training room.

In view of her 533,000 followers, Catherine captioned the clip: “Day 4… @johannesradebe finds a new partner! #Alfie @bbcstrictly #strictly.”

Tom joined his wife in rehearsals after Catherine joked he was warned the so-called Strictly Come Dancing curse could strike.

The curse is a term used to describe couples who break up during or after taking part in the show.

Catherine recently said Tom’s friends had joked she could potentially run off with someone else during her time on the show.

She told The Sun: “He’s got a WhatsApp group with his mates, a lot of them rugby players, and there is a lot of banter.

“They’re all like, ‘Oh mate, you’re screwed, she’s gonna run off.’

“But I’m just like ‘Whatevs,’ because it’s not something I’m worried about. We are happily married.”

The Scarborough actress added Tom was “excited” to watch her on the show and has been “super supportive”.

Catherine and Tom tied the knot back in 2016 and share four-year-old son Alfie together.

Earlier this week, Catherine Tyldesley admitted she was worried about her first dance on the Strictly dancefloor.

Catherine and Johannes told fans they will be performing a Viennese Waltz.

In a video on Instagram, she said: “This week I’m going to be dancing the Viennese Waltz. I nearly said Vietnamese!”

Johannes then said to the camera: “The Viennese Waltz is one of hardest dances in ballroom. We are doing a Viennese Waltz. Nerve-wracking!”

She added: “The main thing that I’m worried about with the Viennese Waltz is the spinning.

“I’m pretty sure I’m going green. We might have to have Bruno with a bucket on the side of stage.”

The Strictly Come Dancing 2019 live shows start Saturday September 21.
