Amanda, who is currently on a break from playing clinical lead, Connie Beachamp at Holby City’s ED department posted a snap showing the assessment stages poster displayed in the waiting area.
She captioned the snap : “Can’t believe it. One way or another I seem to spend a lot of time in an E.D.
“If @bbccasualtyofficial ran in real time you watch a waiting room for the entire episode. Let’s count the hours I wait here…45mins so far… “
Concerned, fans rushed to send their well-wishes.
One follower said: “ “Hope you’re okay xxx” with a kissing face emoji.
With another commented : “You ok doll ? [sic]”
But some of her followers didn’t show quite as much concern.
One Instagram user said : “Be thankful that you’re well enough to be sat in the waiting room.
“It’s the ones that get rushed straight in to resus that you need to feel sorry for.
“I’m sorry that you find yourself needing emergency treatment, but don’t forget that those poor people working in there are maxed out and they’ll get to you as soon as they can.”
The 51 year old hit back at the follower by saying: “You have absolutely no idea why I was in a&e.
“I, at no point, said I should have priority over those in more need.”
