Casualty fans left gasping over 'unexpected' violence between Ethan and Rash

Casualty viewers were left sitting on the edge of their sofas after a fight broke out on the BBC One soap tonight.

The episode didn’t start off grand for Ethan (George Rainsford) as a happy-go-lucky Rash (Neet Mohan) accidentally collided with him while riding his bike into work.

Ethan’s coffee spilled all over him as a result and it’s safe to say, he wasn’t happy with the junior doctor.

As their shift went on, it became more and more heated between the pair as Ethan questioned Rash’s work effort.

Rash ended up losing his temper with Ethan

After Rash and Mason (Victor Oshin) dealt beautifully with a man who suddenly started coughing up blood, they got no thanks from Ethan.

Instead, Ethan began tuttering and mentioning all of the mistakes Rash has made recently and told him he wouldn’t support him for the CT1 position.

But things got worse as Ethan had ago at Rash for spending “most of the day” on the phone to his father.

Ethan said: “You have to find a way to move on from your grief.”

Rash decked Ethan following their argument

In a swift motion, Rash instantly reacted by decking Ethan in a completely unexpected attack.

Viewers couldn’t believe that Rash punched Ethan and rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Actually just gasped out loud at Casualty Go Rash! Ethan deserved that smack.”

Another said: “Go Rash! Was NOT expecting that, but Ethan more than had it coming.

“Not condoning violence but hopefully it’ll literally knock some sense back in to him.

Fans were left shocked by the violence

“Ethan has fallen off the ball recently and poor Rash has been paying the price, along side having to put up with Mason.”

A third tweeted: “Go Rash, Ethan definitely deserved that punch in the face tonight, brilliant acting.”

Casualty returns next Saturday at 10pm on BBC One.
