Cash Trapped fans baffled as Andy confuses Catherine Zeta-Jones with dead actor

Cash Trapped was back on ITV this afternoon as The Chase continues to take a break from its regular slot.

Bradley Walsh was back on presenting duties this evening as six contestants battled it out for a chance to take home the prize pot.

Last night contestant Alex managed to walk away with £6,950 with less than one second remaining.

Mike, Paula, Phil, Nariece, Mired and Andy all took their turn to answer a series of questions tonight.

One question in particular left fans in fits of laughter.

The offending question asked by Bradley was: “Michael Douglas married which Welsh actor?”

Hopeful Andy wrongly answered the question with “Richard Burton”, when in fact the correct answer was Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Fans took to their keyboards to share their shock at the contestant’s answer.

Andy’s blunder left fans in hysterics during tonight’s show

One said: “Richard Burton? Oh dear”

Another added: “Michael Douglas married Richard Burton”, with a laughing face.

A third tweeted: “Richard Burton? Oh my f***ing Christ.”

Welsh actor Richard died in 1984, while Michael didn’t tie the knot with actress Catherine until 2000.

Cash Trapped has been dubbed “too confusing” by some fans

Cash Trapped viewers have been divided over Bradley’s new game show since the series began on Monday.

Some fans took to Twitter to say they were enjoying the new programme but others slammed the show for being “too confusing”.

Cash Trapped airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV
