Boris Johnson‘s girlfriend, Carrie Symonds, walked into Number 10 alongside the Prime Minister following the landslide Conservative election win.

The 31-year-old PR guru looked cosy and casual in a black polo neck worn over a green satin fishtail skirt and black tights.

Symonds finished the look with an oatmeal-coloured wool blend herringbone coat and a pair of black suede Victoriana-style pair of lace-up ankle boots, both of which are from Marks & Spencer.

The coat costs £69 (shop it here), and the shoes an austerity-friendly £45 (shop them here), and both are still available to purchase online.

Since entering the political limelight, Symonds has made a habit of championing the British high street.

She has worn dresses from & Other Stories and Ghost, and at the Remembrance Day service she also rocked another M&S coat – similar in style to today’s, but navy in colour.

Carrie, who wore her hair in loose waves and added a pop of colour with pink lipstick, was accompanied into Downing Street by her dog Dilyn.
