Although Caroline Flack had faced a tough few months, the TV star had also shown a determination to turn her life around in the weeks running up to her death on February 15.

The 40-year-old appeared to show a resolve in facing her upcoming trial and had even begun writing a self-help book in a bid to ‘help others’.

Friends of the much-loved presenter have since said her death has been all the more shocking as ‘no-one saw this coming’.

After spending the Christmas period with friends and family, Caroline had jetted off to Los Angeles to clear her head in January.

During her getaway it was reported that she had been taking long hikes and staying off social media.

The ITV presenter is also believed to have given up booze and adopted a healthy new lifestyle in the wake of the New Year.

A source told The Sun on Sunday that Caroline was going through the “worst time” of her life, but has vowed to get through it.
