Caroline Flack’s ex-fiance Andrew Brady appears to have made a dig at the TV presenter, claiming how his life was ‘saved’ by leaving their ‘very toxic relationship’.

The Love Island host endured a turbulent relationship with the former Celebrity Big Brother star, which saw them get engaged and break-up several times in the space of a year.

However they decided to call it quits in November 2018 before Andrew, 26, jetted off to Australia to start a new life Down Under.

It seems Andrew still has strong feelings about their relationship and split, as he’s reflected on it all to mark the one-year anniversary of their break-up.

In an Instagram story post, the former Apprentice star said: ‘It’s exactly a year tomorrow (29/11/18) since I left a very toxic relationship and got away. Leaving probably saved my life.

‘I mark it one year on by doing something I should have done a while ago.’

As if his words weren’t telling enough, Andrew then showed photos and videos of his new tattoo of Australia in dark ink, with a small love heart next to it on his wrist.

The new ink covers up an old tattoo of Caroline’s initials, ‘CF’, to show he’s well and truly moved on from their ill-fated romance.

Andrew then reposted a message from a follower who explained how they were also in a ‘toxic relationship’, and commented: ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.’

In the past year, Caroline, 40, has moved on and found love with a new man, tennis player Lewis Burton, whom she went public with earlier this summer.

The TV presenter opened up about their split in an interview with The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine in February, and said: ‘I absolutely loved being engaged [to Andrew] but things didn’t pan out and that caused me pain; of course it did. I’m a person not a caricature. It was a sad time when I broke off my engagement and I was hurting.

‘I coped the way I always do – I cried in private and did my grieving behind closed doors. Then I put on my make-up, painted a smile on my face and kept my head up high in public.

‘I know that people wanted to see me having a breakdown but I refused to oblige. That doesn’t make me a fraud, just human.’

She added: ‘I wore my heart on my sleeve; I overshared and posted loads of pictures on Instagram. That’s a lesson I won’t forget; I must always keep something back.’
