Caroline Flack’s boyfriend Lewis Burton has ignored the contact ban put in place between them to declare his love for her on Christmas Day.

The 41-year-old TV presenter was given conditional bail over an alleged assault at her home on 13 December, in which she supposedly hit Lewis over the head with a lamp after finding messages that led her to believe he was cheating on her.

One of the conditions was a ban on her contacting him ahead of trial, which includes direct or indirect contact or attending his address ahead of the trial.

But after his pleas for the condition to be lifted were denied, and after Caroline removed herself from Instagram on a ‘social media break’ yesterday, Lewis couldn’t help but post a message about her on Christmas day.

Next to a picture of her at a fair holding a cuddly toy, Lewis wrote: ‘Gutted I can’t spend Christmas with you.

‘I want to repeat I never pressed charges and asked the other day for the bail conditions to be dropped but no1 listened to me.

‘I want this all to be over.’

Caroline has pleaded not guilty to assault by beating, appearing at Highbury Magistrates Court last week – following a 911 callout to her home where the phone operator claims that Lewis declared she was ‘trying to kill him’ to them.

Lewis required hospital treatment for a ‘serious head injury’.

Representatives of Lewis said that he is not supporting the prosecution’s case, and he has since said that she did not hit him in the head with a lamp as was claimed in court.

Caroline has since been snapped spending time with friends after her court date, giggling and laughing with friends as she made her way around the shops.

She is said to be spending Christmas Day volunteering this year.
