Cops swooped on the Love Island presenter’s pad in North London where the couple live together following reports of a man being assaulted.

The 5ft 3in star is accused of beating up the 6ft 4in ex-tennis player 10 days ago.

Several officers and police vehicles were pictured outside the ITV2 star’s home following the early-morning row and there were also images of blood on their door.

But after the couple have both made declarations of love to each other on social media, sources told the Sunday People that Lewis will join Caroline at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in North London.

“Lewis is the one who called the police but it doesn’t matter, they still want to stay together,” a source told the paper.

“They both love each other very much and they’re desperate to make it work.

“They’re still boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Last night Lewis took to Instagram to declare his love for the former Love Island host.

He shared a sweet throwback clip of his girlfriend from happier times when they were on a plane together.

“I love this girl,” he wrote on the black and white clip.

And it appears the feeling is mutual as Caroline publicly declared her love for her boyfriend in a statement after quitting Love Island.

The presenter, who has stepped down from her role on the ITV2 show, took to Instagram to issue a lengthy explanation earlier this week.

After revealing the reason behind her decision to quit the show, Caroline thanked her friends and family for their support.

She then went on to end the statement by declaring her love for her beau writing: “and my boyfriend Lewis… I love you x.”

Lewis also took to social media in support of Caroline earlier this week.

He wrote on Instagram: “I’m tired of the lies and abuse aimed at my girlfriend. This is not a witch hunt this is someone’s life. I have not signed any NDA.

“Why would I? Caroline is the most lovely girl. Loyal and kind. She doesn’t deserve any of this.”

Caroline is “absolutely devastated” about the decision which comes after she was arrested last week.

However, Caroline is determined she will clear her name of the altercation while Laura Whitmore presents series 6 of the show.

A source revealed: “She is determined to clear her name. But Love Island has been her world so it’s, of course, an absolute blow. She’s absolutely devastated.”

ITV issued a statement apology, which read: “ITV has a long standing relationship with Caroline and we understand and accept her decision.

“We will remain in contact with her over the coming months about future series of Love Island.”
