Caroline Flack 'threw phone at Lewis Burton' as pals say she made Andrew Brady sign gagging order

Caroline Flack allegedly launched a mobile phone at her boyfriend Lewis Burton after discovering a string of flirty texts, reports have claimed.

The 40-year-old Love Island host is said to have furiously rowed with her tennis champ beau during a drunken argument shortly before her arrest in the early hours of Friday morning.

Caroline reportedly found flirtatious text messages from a 60-year-old woman on Lewis’ phone and angrily accused him of cheating, the Sun on Sunday claims.

But the boozed-up argument was based on a misunderstanding – as the messages were from a member of 27-year-old Lewis’ tennis coaching class.

Caroline allegedly threw a phone at Lewis after misconstruing texts she found on it

“Both Caroline and Lewis are absolutely heartbroken and devastated at the moment – and Caroline is beside herself with regret,” a source told the newspaper.

“It was a stupid drunken row which got out of control. Caroline accused him of sleeping around and found messages on his mobile phone which made her angry and upset.

“She started massively over-thinking and convinced herself Lewis was flirting with another woman.”

The insider added: “During the row a mobile phone hit Lewis and there was some glass which got broken over the floor. Both of them ended up with minor injuries, which were cuts.”

Marks that look like blood could be seen on Caroline’s front door after her arrest

According to the source, Lewis dialled 999 for an ambulance for Caroline, but when police arrested at her home along with paramedics, both of them were “mortified”.

“Neither Lewis nor Caroline wanted the matter to go any further, obviously,” they added.

“But because the scene looked so bad and Caroline was so apologetic, police were duty-bound to take action and arrested her.”

Caroline’s front door appeared to be splattered with drops of blood on Saturday.

Lewis broke his silence with a picture of them both captioned with a love heart

Lewis is yet to publicly comment on what happened, but has shared a snap of them both with a red love heart on his Instagram Story.

Caroline will now appear in court on December 23 to answer to a charge of assault by beating.

ITV is yet to issue any statement about what will happen to her job on the upcoming Winter Love Island edition, which is due to launch on January 8 2020.

It comes as Caroline’s ex-fiance Andrew Brady revealed she wanted him to sign a non-disclosure agreement at the start of their whirlwind romance.

Andrew Brady shared snaps of an NDA

The order gags him from discussing any element of his relationship with Caroline

Dated March 2018, the NDA sets out conditions which ban Andrew from discussing elements of their relationship, her health, habits and lifestyle – and even the existence of the confidentiality agreement itself.

A pal of Caroline confirmed to Mirror Online that Andrew had indeed signed the document, adding: “Andrew was perfectly happy to sign a confidentiality agreement. The fact that he signed the confidentiality agreement is confidential as is its content.”

Mirror Online has contacted Caroline’s rep for comment.
