Caroline Flack pens self-help book 'to help others with difficulties' ahead of trial

Caroline Flack has been spending her free time writing a self-help book.

The TV star, 40, has denied assault by beating stemming from an alleged bust-up with her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, before Christmas and she is set to stand trial in London in March.

Now, it has been reported that the former Love Island host has been writing ahead of her return to court as she wants to ‘help others’ with her ‘part self-help part memoir’ book.

“Caroline has found the process incredibly cathartic,” a friend of the star told The Daily Mail.

“She wants it to be more than just a story about her. She wants to talk about the problems she’s encountered and how she’s overcome them.

“She hopes to be able to help others who may be going through similar difficulties. Part self-help, part memoir is the style that Caroline is looking for.”

It comes after news that the ITV presenter has given up booze and adopted a healthy new lifestyle.

A source told The Sun on Sunday that Caroline’s going through the “worst time” of her life, but has vowed to get through it.

They said: “Caroline has not touched alcohol since before Christmas and has been getting to the gym every day.

“She is in much better shape both physically and mentally.”

Caroline stepped down from her job hosting Love Island so she could focus on her court case, and she was replaced by pal Laura Whitmore.

However, reports suggest Love Island bosses want her back and she could be back on TV for the summer series.

A source said: “Caroline has been told Love Island want her back for the next series.

“Laura has done a great job so far but the show’s bosses don’t feel she has the same pull.”

Caroline is alleged to have assaulted her boyfriend Lewis in an early-morning attack at her North London home.

Police officers attending the scene at the time described what they found as something like a scene in a “horror movie”.

Caroline pleaded not guilty when she appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court last month.

She will face trial in March.
