Love Island bosses paid a tear-jerking tribute to tragic Caroline Flack during the final of the fist winter series.

Fans were left in tears over the montage of the hit show’s former presenter, who took her own life at the age of 40.

Clips showed Caroline’s time with islanders from various series as they navigated the stresses and dramas of life in the villa, as reports The Mirror.

Her body was discovered at her London flat on Saturday February 15.

Current host Laura Whitmore, 34, choked up as she talked about her late pal as she introduced the tribute and dedicated the final to her.

The Islanders were told of the awful news yesterday by ITV bosses, who had previously decided to keep it from them.

They were told off-air and the footage will never be screened.
