Andrew Brady claims Caroline Flack hit the ‘lowest she’d ever felt’ after winning Strictly Come Dancing – but her struggles were ignored.
Caroline lifted the glitterball trophy alongside Pasha Kovalev at the end of 2014, breaking down in delighted tears as her name was called out.
But Caroline later admitted to The Sun that she woke up the next morning saying she felt like she was ‘covered in clingfilm’ and ended up feeling ‘ridiculous’ for feeling so low.
The ex-fiancee of the Love Island star made a long, angry post on his blog following her sudden death aged 40 this weekend, and lays the blame on her management – saying that they ‘sold her out’ when he depression had hit a low.
In the post, Andrew said: ‘In 2015, Caroline won Strictly Come Dancing. At the same time her long term relationship ended. The day she won the final of Strictly was one of the lowest she’d ever felt.
‘You were with her at the time and you did nothing. Before Christmas in 2018 she had to prevent a harmful story getting out as it was leaked by your team.
‘In exchange for this story remaining a secret she had to give a tell-all interview about her depression following Strictly.’
‘Whether or not you agreed with her to exchange the story makes no difference. You still sold her out. And it was written in Black and White,’ Andrew said.
‘She had depression. But you never got her any help. You sold her out countless times. Any gossip you had you would go straight to your friends at The Sun. “Source close to Caroline…” says. That is you isn’t [it]?’
He also claimed that Caroline was ‘scared they would leak information about her’ if she was to leave them, and as a result stayed with them.
Metro.co.uk has contacted her management for comment on his allegations.
Friends and family of Caroline have been dealing with the shock loss of the star, who died by suicide in her home on Saturday afternoon.
An inquest into her death is due to be held next week, after lawyers confirmed she had taken her own life.
Strictly later released a statement paying tribute to her, which read: ‘The entire Strictly Come Dancing family are heartbroken to hear this incredibly sad news.
‘Caroline had an infectious energy and passion for dance, she shone brightly in the Strictly ballroom every week and became an incredible champion.
‘Words cannot express our sadness, she was simply one of a kind. We are sending our love to all her family and friends during this difficult time.’
