Caroline Flack almost gave up Love Island to convince her ex-boyfriend to stay with her.

Plot twist – he left her anyways despite her telling him she’d ‘stop working’ just to be with him.

Speaking on Kathy Burke’s All Woman, Caroline said: ‘I did say the words “I’ll stop working, don’t leave me”. He was going to leave. I didn’t want him to go. But he left.

‘And then I was like, why would I sacrifice everything for him? Why? Thank God I didn’t give up my job!’

Although the 39-year-old doesn’t agree with the old-fashioned notion of women settling down in their 20s, she is worried that she might be leaving it too late to have children.

‘If you’re in your 30s or 40s or 50s, and you’re not wearing a twinset and pearls, you must be unhappy,’ the TV presenter said.

Caroline is currently dating Lewis Burton, 27, and the couple were sharing loved-up snaps of the two taking in the sun at Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton.

She said: ‘I’ve still kind of always put work first – wake up in the morning, go to work, come home – just like my boyfriend has.

‘I’m scared it’s going to get too late where I’ve wanted to go, “Right, maybe slow down, think about having kids and maybe think about settling down,” but I’ve never had that.

‘I feel guilty for it sometimes, I feel like maybe I’m being selfish.’

The Love Island host was previously engaged to Andrew Brady from The Apprentice before calling off the engagement in July last year and it was a whirlwind of emotions for all of us.

She has also dated the likes of Harry Styles – two years after her an apparent fling with Prince Harry – and rugby player Danny Cipriani.

During the same show, Caroline acknowledged her tendency to go from relationship to relationship.

She told Kathy: ‘I love falling in love. The being in love bit is quite addictive isn’t it. That first romantic feeling.

‘And maybe I’ve just never been very good at the keeping it going bit.’

Can you imagine someone else doing the Flack slow motion walk into the villa? We can’t!

Watch All Woman tonight on Channel 4.
