Carol Vorderman, 59, walked down the aisle for the first time to marry former international rugby league player Christopher Mather back in 1985. However, the couple went on to split the following year before the Countdown presenter tied the knot again in 1990 with management consultant Patrick King.
Carol looked back on her first wedding day while hosting her BBC Radio Wales show today when a significant song reminded her of the occasion.
As the TV personality prepared to play It’s Raining Men by The Weather Girls, she admitted she performed the track during her wedding disco.
She informed listeners: “The next one is my record, it’s The Weather Girls and It’s Raining Men.
“I have a lot to say on this subject because this was always my record in the 1980s and when I got married for the first time, I borrowed a dress for the disco at night time from the costume department of 3-2-1.”

The small-screen star previously suggested her musical moment at the wedding could have been the reason why her marriage to Christopher “didn’t last long”.
She admitted: “I got on the stage and I sang this [song] at my wedding and I was then dragged off by my husband and the marriage didn’t last long, so here we go, It’s Raining Men and you can understand his reasons.”
Elsewhere, Carol reflected on a special moment she shared with singer, Barry White.
She told her BBC Radio Wales co-host Owain: “I did a big show with him once back in the day, I used to have a show a bit like This Is Your Life called Stars In Their Lives.
“We would have the star but they wouldn’t know who else would be on so they were there very happily, it was wonderful.”
“He’s huge, absolutely enormous man, tall, big,” she gushed. “Walrus of Love.”
She continued: “We sat on two sofas separated… and I said to him please say ‘love’ [in his accent].
“He said ‘love’, it was so deep and vibrated so much that it reverberated through this wooden plinth and up through my sofa.”
