Carol Vorderman: Countdown star shuts down chat about being caught NAKED by co-star

Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 58, caught up with her friend Lisa Maxwell, 55, during a recent episode to discuss the latter’s appearance in theatre show Calendar Girls. Within the show, the actress and the cast famously get their kit off in a bid to raise awareness of blood cancer. Carol praised the actress for her role in the show, but said she couldn’t think of “anything worse” than to get naked live on stage. Lisa then cheekily highlighted the host had seen her naked before.

Laughing, Carol responded: “You’ve seen me quite a bit… when I’m wandering about at yours and wandering in the wrong bathroom.”

She then began to tell a story about a time Lisa had delivered bottles of water to her bedroom, but failed to elaborate.

“We won’t talk about that,” she added, leaving listeners unaware of the ending.

“No I won’t,” giggled Lisa, prompting Carol to say: “Moving swiftly on.”

Carol and Lisa grew close when they previously starred as panelists on ITV daytime show Loose Women together.

Lisa joined the show in 2009 and left five years later, while Carol appeared as a panelist from 2011 until 2014.

Carol has since returned to the show as a guest multiple times.

Back in December, the mother-of-two went on the show and discussed what she described as a “surreal first date”.

Twice-married Carol told the hosts she was single, but dating.

She said: “I haven’t got a new man but I had the best ever… possibly the first best date ever.”

Quizzing Carol further, panelist Nadia Sawalha, 54, asked: “Why what happened? What did you do?”

Carol replied: “We didn’t do that [sleep together].”

Nadia responded: “Oh no, that wouldn’t be the best date.”

Carol chimed: “I was going to say it before you asked me.”

When pushed further about her dating admission, she shut down the conversation replying: “I’m not telling you thing because there may be no second date.”

Sunday Morning with Carol Vorderman is currently airing every weekend on BBC Radio Wales at 9.30am.
