Carol Vorderman: Countdown star likens her peachy rear to Kim Kardashian ‘It sounds weird’

Carol Vorderman, 58, who won Rear of the Year twice in 2014, has revealed her peachy rear is something which runs in her family. Speaking during her Body Confidence segment on Lorraine, the mathematician admitted she finds the comparison between herself and Kim Kardashian, 37, “hilarious”. Carol spilled: “In my family it’s known as the Vorder-bum because we’ve all got it. I know it’s going to sound really weird. “The Kim Kardashian thing. It’s like groundhog day for me. It’s Carol Vordershian or Kim Vordershian. I get this comparison. I think it’s hilarious.”

She continued: “It’s hilarious. It’s probably not so hilarious for her as she’s being compared to someone who’s old enough to be her mother.”

Kim who rose to fame on the reality television series Keeping Up With The Kardashians is also known for her curvaceous figure.

Meanwhile, Carol spilled on how she manages to maintain her toned physique and puts it mainly down to doing a lot of squats.

The small-screen star said: “In terms of squats a year I probably do over 20,000 and that’s a lot.”

“My body confidence is when everything is working,” she explained.

“I suppose in my 20s weight more than anything [was what I thought about] and the size dress you wear.”

She continued: “I was always a size 8, but then you’re young aren’t you?

“When I started to have children in my 30s, you start to think about your health. I’ve been eating well since 39/40, that’s helped a lot.”

However, the TV personality made a startling admission as she spilled on the one thing she doesn’t focus on when managing her weight.

Carol admitted she doesn’t check how much she weighs because she simply “doesn’t care”.

“I haven’t weighed myself since 1999,” the mother-of-two exclaimed.

“I don’t actually know how much I weigh. I don’t care because I go on what I call my dress size.”

She finished: “I’m probably a size 8 to 9 at the moment. I’ve always had a small waist.”

Elsewhere, the former Countdown favourite recently showcased a brand new look as she admitted she had “gone long”.

In view of her 406,000 Twitter followers, the TV star debuted a much blonder and longer hairstyle.

She captioned the post: “So I’ve decided to ‘go long’ for the summer…well actually James decided, and told me that I was, cos I’m useless with hair stuff…lol…love you ⁦@JrHairBeauty⁩ #Manchester.”(sic)
