Carling’s new pint glasses let drinkers carry four beers at a time

CARLING has just made getting a round in at the pub easier than ever with new specially designed pint glasses.

The game-changing interlocking design means you can safely carry up to four pints at a time back to your table.

The glasses also have also been revamped to help keep pints fresher for longer.

And Carling claims that embossed letters helps create a “tactile grip”, making the drinks easier to carry.

The new glasses are available in thousands of pubs across the country, including chains like Wetherspoons and Greene King, in time for the first May Bank Holiday weekend.

The beer maker last changed its pint glass design back in 2012.

The Sun has asked Carling to confirm how many pubs have the new glasses and for a list of chains which will have them this weekend.

We’ll update this article as soon as we hear back.

Miranda Osborne, brand director at Carling said: “Our aim was to create the perfect glass for the perfect pint, whilst responding to the needs of our customers.

“We know our customers can feel uncomfortable leaving drinks on the bar because they can’t carry them all, so we wanted to design something that could help alleviate this problem.

“We hope people find getting pints in for friends a far more comfortable experience now.”

Almost 300,000 drinkers have signed a petition calling for Carling to ditch plastic ring pulls following a similar decision from rival beer firm Guinness earlier this month.

Last year, beer mats were launched to help drinkers measure if their pints are too short.

Industry body the British Beer & Pub Association says a pint should contain a minimum of 95 per cent liquid and 5 per cent head.

Also, scientists have warned that the price of beer could double due to global warming.
