Carl Weathers teases return of Greef Carga in The Mandalorian season 2

Disney+’s Star Wars spinoff series The Mandalorian has been scoring rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, namely for its lovable infantile member of Yoda’s species, and as a second season is in the works, star Carl Weathers has revealed we haven’t seen the last of his bounty hunter guild leader Greef Carga.

In an interview with GamesRadar’s SFX, Weathers revealed that after appearing in the first few episodes, there are plans currently in the works to bring back his character for the second season.

I think [Greef’s backstory] is more saved for season two,” Weathers said. “But you get some glimpses at Greef and who he is through the stories in the first season. There’s some real strong indications that give you some idea of who he is. But we never let on completely. It’s much more interesting to play someone who is not all of one thing – not one-dimensional. Also, it opens it up to stories later on that can reveal much more about this character. Certainly with Greef, you have to really keep your eye on him.”

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universeThe Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order.
