She is enjoying a break in her schedule after wrapping her anticipated new thriller Promising Young Woman.
And Carey Mulligan made the most of her time off on Tuesday night as she enjoyed Bvlgari’s very glam exhibition launch in Rome.
Carey was the picture of elegance as she celebrated The Story, The Dream exhibition from the Italian luxury brand.

Carey, 34, chose a chic black midi dress for the party, with pretty bow detail on one shoulder and a scooped neckline.
She accessorised with black open-toed heels and represented the brand with her statement gold Bvlgari necklace.
Jewels and vintage fashion from La Dolce Vita era are the focal point of the new exhibition which will run in two of the city’s historical palazzos, Palazzo Venezia and Castel Sant’Angelo.

It’s the feature directorial debut of actress and writer Emerald Fennell, who was the showrunner behind the second season of Killing Eve as well as starring in the next series of The Crown.
Promising Young Woman also boasts the talents of actress and producer Margot Robbie, whose company LuckyChap Entertainment was set up by the star and her husband Tom Ackerley in 2014 to spearhead women-led movies.
Alongside her hugely successful acting career, Carey is a parent to daughter Evelyn Grace, three and son Wilfred, 22 months alongside her musician husband Marcus Mumford.
