Cardi B pledges to start a GoFundMe for imprisoned Tiger King star Joe Exotic

She admitted earlier this week that she lost track of Netflix‘s new docuseries Tiger King because she had sex while watching it.

But Cardi B seemed to have found the thread by Friday as she posted obsessively about the seven-part documentary following a flamboyant tiger breeder who went to prison for trying to hire someone to murder his nemesis.

The 27-year-old rapper went so far as to pledge to start a GoFundMe for the incarcerated Joseph Maldonado-Passage, a.k.a. Joe Exotic.

On Thursday, Cardi fired off a stream of tweets as she watched Tiger King to pass the time while social distancing at home.

‘Carol you think you slick b****,’ she wrote, referencing Carole Baskin, an animal rights activist and founder of Florida’s Big Cat Rescue.

Baskin’s feud with Joe Exotic over the practice of petting tiger cubs and his private breeding operation is thoroughly documented in the series.

He was arrested in 2018 and later convicted of attempted murder after he tried to hire an FBI agent to kill Baskin. He was also convicted of multiple animal rights violations.

Cardi may have though Carole was ‘slick’ because of conspiracy theories about the conservationist.

In 1997, her millionaire husband Don Lewis disappeared, and in 2002 she had him declared dead.

But Lewis’ children remained suspicious of his disappearance and fought over his estate, which was primarily left to Baskin.

Two months before he disappeared, Lewis had filed a restraining order against his wife because she had purchased a firearm and threatened to kill him with it, but the application was rejected.

Tiger King also includes footage of Lewis’ executive assistant claiming that Carole had stolen his power of attorney after his death in order to take control of his estate.

The documentary has led to a conspiracy theory that the big cat rescuer killed her husband and fed his body to her tigers to destroy the evidence.

Cardi seems to be a fan of the theory after sharing a meme to Instagram that was Photoshopped to read ‘Carole Baskin fed her husband to the tigers — Change my mind.’

‘They did Joe so dirty over and over again,’ she wrote later.

The Bodak Yellow rapper also let her followers weigh in on who was more sympathetic in Tiger King.

‘Who you think is more wrong? Narcissist joe ? Or Greedy Carol ? And why ?,’ she tweeted.

Despite that, she was firmly in Joe Exotic’s camp by Friday.

‘Bout to star a gofundme account for Joe .He shall be free,’ she wrote.

Though Cardi’s definitely sucked into the docuseries now, she wasn’t as devoted a fan at the start.

She joked on Thursday that she couldn’t follow the show’s second episode because she and her husband Offset had sex during the premiere.

‘What ya think bout TigerKing? I’m on the second episode and I’m alittle lost cause I started f***ing,’ she tweeted.
