Cardi B might have been headed to court, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to be low-key.

The Bodak Yellow rapper decided to make a fashion statement during her latest court appearance in New York and arrived to Queens Criminal Court basically wearing all the feathers.

Dressed in black trousers, a white shirt and tie and heels to boot, Cardi then upped her outfit with a dramatic hooded cape that was covered in black feathers and trailed out behind her.

That’s one way to turn the courthouse steps into your very own catwalk, no?

Cardi was back in court over an alleged fight that took place at a strip club in NYC last year.

The mum-of-one was arrested in October 2018 and accused of taking part in the fight involving two female bartenders at the Angels Strip Club.

Back in June, Cardi pleaded not guilty with regards to a 12-count indictment, including charges of assault, harassment, conspiracy and second-degree reckless endangerment.

The two women involved in the incident claim they got into an argument with Cardi and two other people, allegedly resulting in their injuries from bottles and chairs being thrown around the strip club.

Initially, Cardi was charged with two misdemeanour counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanour count of assault. However, Cardi rejected a plea deal that would have granted her a conditional discharge in return for pleading guilty to a single misdemeanour.

This prompted prosecutors to escalate the case to a grand jury.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Tuesday’s court hearing was to discuss private social media messages involved in the case.

Another hearing has been set for 17 January 2020, but it’s reported Cardi will not attend.
