Is rapper Cardi B the most candid celebrity on the planet? The singer seems virtually incapable of keeping a secret or an opinion to herself – and, of course, we completely love her for it.
Unlike most of her famous peers in the music industry, Cardi B has always been pretty open and honest about her decision to pay for plastic surgery. She recently told Entertainment Tonight that she has had her breast augmentation redone after giving birth to her daughter, Kulture, nine months ago.
Her latest confession came this week, during a performance at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, USA. In a video that has since been deleted from social media, Cardi B told her fans at the event that she was meant to be in recovery after having liposuction, which is classed as a major surgery and should really take several weeks to heal. Probably not ideal to be dancing soon after an op. Experts say there should be at least one week of bed rest – yet here she was, on stage, performing.
As Refinery29 reports, Cardi B took to the mic to say: “Let me tell y’all something. I shouldn’t really be performing. I should have canceled today because moving too much is gonna fuck up my lipo. But bitch, I’m still gonna get this money bag.”
What can we say? Cardi B is nothing if not honest about her intentions, her choices and her body. Truly, we can do nothing but stan. And hope that she’s feeling OK, of course.
