Cardi B and Stefflon Don had a great time bonding at the BET Awards last night, and what better way to cement their friendship than by twerking with each other.
It was a big night for both ladies with Cardi B, 26, winning album of the year for her debut Invasion of Privacy, and also female hip hop artist, while Stefflon was supporting her boyfriend, Afrobeats singer Burna Boy, who won international act.
With plenty of exciting news to celebrate, Cardi and Steff caught up backstage and it wasn’t long before they got down to twerking.
The rappers gave each other a sweet hug before Cardi started twerking in Steff’s lap, much to the British star’s entertainment.
Of course, it’s not the first time Steff and Cardi have met as they are both signed to Quality Control Music record label, which is also home to Cardi’s husband Offset’s rap group Migos.
Steff, 27, has always spoken highly of Cardi and took her side in the midst of her ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj last year.
The Hurtin Me rapper is alleged to have commented on Instagram: ‘@Nickiminaj ur a big grown woman talking about beating someone’s head in???? QUEEN???? I’m disappointed in you so many people look up to you show us better [sic].’
But she later tweeted appreciation for Nicki’s music so it seems Steff is remaining neutral after all.
Elsewhere at the BET Awards, Steff hit the red carpet with her beau Burna Boy and they certainly were one of the most fashionable couples at the star-studded bash.
The couple went public with their romance in February when Steff shared photos of her lounging with the Ye singer while topless.
Several weeks later, Burna surprised Steff with a room full of roses and gifts for Valentine’s Day prompting the rapper to profess her ‘love’ for him.
