Cara Delevingne has insisted ‘it’s the beginning’ for the Time’s Up movement, as she graces the front cover for the October issue of Elle UK.

The model and actress looked amazing as she could be seen sporting a series of different outfits for the latest issue of the magazine.

And now Cara has opened up about the Time’s Up movement, revealing that a hashtag and social media campaign does not mean that things have changed and ‘the problem is gone’.

‘In my opinion, especially in these movements, as soon as we get a hashtag for something, we feel like it’s done,’ she said.

‘But that’s not the case. It’s the beginning, and I think people need to remember that gender discrimination is still happening all the time.

‘Women are getting more opportunities, but there are still people out there who are the same as they were three years ago. You can’t just put a hashtag up on social media and the problem is gone.’

She also spoke about Harvey Weinstein, and revealed that she ‘hadn’t thought about it’ until Rose McGowan came forward, and although she ‘hasn’t dealt with it’, she ‘hopes’ he gets prosecuted.

‘I hope Harvey gets prosecuted and, of course, I want there to be justice.

‘It turns out nearly every single woman I know or have worked with has been harassed or assaulted in some way. I just didn’t know about it.’

It’s been a busy time for Cara, as her latest series, Carnival Row, has just been released on Amazon Prime.

The series, which also stars Orlando Bloom and David Gyasi, focuses on mythical creatures who have fled their hometown and gathered in the city as tensions increase between citizens and the ever-growing immigrant population.

The October issue of ELLE UK is on sale from Thursday 5 September 2019.
