Camilla Thurlow is currently settling into mum life and she admits breastfeeding her baby daughter has been ‘challenging’ so far.

The Love Island star and boyfriend Jamie Jewitt, both 30, welcomed their first child together at the end of October, and since then, Camilla has been sharing plenty of baby updates with fans.

Among the cute pictures of little Nell, however, have been some candid posts about parenthood, with Camilla recently revealing that she is struggling when it comes to breastfeeding.

She shared an adorable photo of her and baby Nell during a night feed, as she opened up on the ‘tricky journey’ she’s had so far feeding her daughter.

While she didn’t go too much into detail, Camilla made sure to give other mums a shoutout, as she revealed she has the ‘greatest respect’ for them all who, like her, are trying to figure out how best to feed their little one.

Camilla wrote: ‘3am is when I do my best online shopping 🛒🤣! Truly though, I look very happy in this picture and these moments in the middle of the night are precious ones that I am forever grateful for, but I definitely don’t want to sugarcoat how challenging I have found breastfeeding so far.’

The reality star continued: ‘Maybe one day I’ll talk about my experience with it, but for now I just want to say greatest respect to all the mothers out there figuring out their way to feed their baby, it’s a tricky journey and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve had from the NHS and of course from @jamiejewitt_.’

Camilla was inundated with supportive messages from fans, with many praising the former bomb disposable expert for ‘normalising’ breastfeeding with her honest post.

‘Thanks for sharing – it is really hard!! So many people make it look so easy so I appreciate your honesty 💛,’ wrote one fan.

‘Thank you for normalising breastfeeding 💕🙌🏼 you look lovely and are doing an amazing thing ps. The night feeds don’t last forever, promise x,’ posted another follower.

Camilla and Jamie introduced their daughter Nell (full name Nell Sophia Jewitt) on Instagram, after she was born in the early hours on October 27.

‘There may be a thousand new photos on my camera roll, but none of them could ever do justice to the way you have lit up our lives,’ Camilla gushed, as Jamie said becoming a dad had brought on a ‘monumental change of perspective’ for him.

He wrote to his daughter: ‘From this day forward I promise to be the very best version of myself for you and your mum and do my best to give you both everything you could possibly ask for.’

Camilla and Jamie first announced they were expecting a baby in May, earlier this year, during lockdown.

The pair shot to fame on Love Island in 2017, where they finished in second place to series winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies. Following the show, Camilla starred in her own documentary spin-off titled What Camilla Did Next.
