Two weeks after announcing she’d welcomed a daughter Raddix with husband Benji Madden, Cameron Diaz has been seen for the first time.
Running errands in Los Angeles earlier this week, the Charlies Angels star was seen without her new bundle of joy, instead cradling a notepad, phone and glasses, with a tote on her arm.
In a cozy sweater, jeans and boots, the star didn’t appear to be with her Good Charlotte rocker husband, 40, either, as she looked like a woman on a mission.
It comes after the couple announced their happy news on 3 January with first-time mum Cameron confirming the arrival of Raddix on Instagram – surprisingly everyone as it was not publicly known the pair were expecting.
She said: ‘We are so happy blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden.
‘She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.’
The star, 47, added that she and Benji will not be posting any pictures of their little bundle of joy on social media.
‘While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy,’ she continued. ‘So we won’t be sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD :).’
Last week Benji was spotted for the first time since the news as he headed out on a coffee run in Los Angeles, probably picking up something to help the couple get through the sleepless nights.
The couple have been married since 2015 and have largely kept their relationship private.
In an interview with InStyle last year, she confessed that marriage is ‘hard work’ but that Benji is the one for her.
She said: ‘He’s just a good man. There’s no bulls**t. It’s really refreshing. I’m really grateful for him.’
It seems they’ll be splitting parent duties straight down the middle, too, as Cameron dished of her beau and their union: ‘Marriage is certainly hard, and it’s a lot of work.
‘You need somebody who’s willing to do the work with you, because there’s no 60-40 in marriage. It’s 50-50, period. All the time.’
