THE mother of Coronation Street baddie Callum Logan, Marion, is returning to the cobbles – but she will look completely different.
The character originally appeared in the soap from 2015 to 2016 played by Susan Cookson.
However, next week Marion will return to Weatherfield with a new face, as Kerry Peers takes on the role, who fans will know from her time on The Bill.
There’s no official reason for the recast, but Susan Cookson is now a recurring guest star in Emmerdale as rapist Lee’s mother, Wendy Posner.
Marion Logan returning means Callum’s storyline will once again come into focus on Corrie.
Drug dealer Callum was murdered by Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) during the live episode last year after he tried to attack her sister-in-law Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
The two women alongside Kylie’s husband, David (Jack P Shepherd), buried the body in concrete – though it was discovered eight months later when Tyrone’s van crashed into it.
Callum is the biological father to Kylie’s son Max.
Later last year, Sarah confessed to Gary Windass (Mikey North) about what happened that night.
The scenes airing next week will see Marion return to request Max lives with her, instead of the Platts, as Max’s step-father David is currently in prison for an unrelated crime.
