Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.05: Patch notes news, here’s what’s in new download


Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.05 has been released today, with fans awaiting a full patch notes release for the new download.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.05 is available to download across all platforms.

The brand new Call of Duty Modern Warfare patch weighs in at 2.4GB on PS4, 3.02GB on Xbox One and around 8GB on PCs.

Full patch notes are yet to be revealed for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1.05 but there are reports the download has tweaked a few things.

Adjustments to Dead Silence as well as footstep audio have been noted by Call of Duty Modern Warfare players since the update 1.05 rollout.

The changelog for the PS4 version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.05 also notes a few other improvements.

It says Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.05 has brought with it “security and stability fixes”.

The news comes after Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.04 was launched on the game’s release day of Friday October 25.

CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE PATCH NOTES – UPDATE 1.05

• Backend fixes to help prevent against crashing across all platforms – if you experience a crash, please let us know

• Fix for a bug where players could earn more points when shooting specific vehicles while having Pointman equipped

• Improved ADS while using weapons without scopes on Xbox

• In some instances, some players were not able to complete the Highway mission due to an exfil bug

• Fix for the “Best of the Best” challenge not tracking progress

• Fix for the “Elite Sniper” challenge not displaying the correct description

• Fix for various camos not unlocking during progression

• Fix for the unlock criteria for the “Double Cross” reticle not progressing past 4

• Fix for the description and requirements needed to unlock some optic scopes in Gunsmith

• Fix for an exploit in Gunsmith when using mouse and keyboard

The new update has been released following the end of the double XP promotion in Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

This XP boost finished on midnight October 28, but more are being planned for COD MW in the future.

“We’re rolling into the first full weekend of Modern Warfare being out in the wild and it’s been incredible to see so many people sharing their thoughts and feedback with us,” a message from Infinity Ward reveals.

“As we said during the beta, this is your game just as much as it is ours, so we can’t thank you enough for hopping online with us.”
