Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale starts tomorrow for free – official trailer live now

After numerous leaks, Activision have finally shared an official trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’s free-to-play battle-royale mode.

We’ve known for quite a while that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare would be getting its own battle royale mode.

In
fact, earlier today, a YouTuber
posted their own review
of the mode that confirmed pretty much everything
about it, likely breaking an embargo in the process.

Well,
now Activision have finally put up an official trailer for the mode, titled
Warzone, and it pretty much reveals everything we knew about it already.

The
mode will have 150-player matches (with a plan to later extend that to 200), set
on a massive map consisting of elements based on previous
Call Of Duty maps
, and it will come with options for solo, duos, and trios
matches.

Vehicles,
such as helicopters, can be piloted, and there are respawn tokens which can be
bought to revive team-mates. And with the Gulag feature, you can get the chance
to re-enter a match after you’ve been killed, but you need to beat another
player that has also been killed in a 1v1 match, while spectators throw rocks
at you.

The mode is free-to-play, meaning you don’t need to own a copy of Modern Warfare to take part (though players that do will have access to content they’ve unlocked, like skins, from the get-go), it features cross-play between all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC), and is set to launch 10 March.

All in all, fans will no doubt be pleased to finally give Warzone a go, while Activision are probably relieved to finally have the thing officially annnouced.

The publisher has been having quite a bit of trouble with leaks recently. Not just with Warzone, but rumours of a supposed remaster of Modern Warfare 2 have been making the rounds again.
