Activision Blizzard has released the initial schedule of events for 2020’s debut Call of Duty League schedule, showing the format in which teams will host in-market competitions.

As previously announced, WISE Ventures’ Minnesota Røkkr will host the Call of Duty League Launch Weekend from Jan. 24-26 at the Minneapolis Armory. It will feature all 12 teams competing in the league’s first matches.

The first half of the season will then continue with ReKTGlobal’s London Royal Ravens hosting the next event on Feb. 8-9, with weekly competitions running through April 18-19, when Aquilini Investment Group and Enthusiast Gaming’s Seattle Surge hosts its first home series weekend.

A Midseason Weekend event will take place sometime between then and May 9-10, when the second half of the season begins once more in Minnesota. Competition will continue to cycle through the home cities until July 25-26, when Misfits Gaming’s Florida Mutineers hosts the final regular-season home series. The Call of Duty League Championship Weekend will take place sometime after that. No venues have been named outside of the Launch Weekend event.

The two Los Angeles teams will share extended three-day home series weekends on March 6-8 and June 12-14, with the events co-billed between Immortals Gaming Club’s OpTic Gaming Los Angeles and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s Los Angeles Guerrillas. Also, Florida’s first homestand on April 11-12 will take place in Miami, while the second on July 25-26 will happen in Orlando.

Activision Blizzard’s franchised and geolocated league will compete in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and award more than $6M USD in prizing during the 2020 season.
