I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! starts this Sunday (November 17) at 9pm on ITV. The launch show will see 10 famous faces enter the Australian jungle with the hope to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle after three weeks Down Under. Caitlyn Jenner is an American television personality and Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete.
She is no stranger to I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! having appeared in the US version of the show in 2003, coming in fourth place.
Speaking to ITV ahead of entering the jungle this year, the 70-year-old said: “Being in the Jungle is certainly not easy and yes, it is totally back to basics but I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave everything behind for three weeks.
“Last time, it was almost like a cleansing of the soul!”
“You can’t get away from the other people and it will be a very different experience for me.
“Last time, I did it with a bunch of people from the States who I knew of. This time it’s a bunch of people from the UK who I potentially won’t know.
“But I love going over to the UK, I love the British people and I am looking forward to making some new friends, new allies and getting through it all.”

Assigned male at birth, in a 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer in April 2015, Caitlyn announced that she was a trans woman.
Formerly known as Bruce, Caitlyn announced her new name in July 2015, appearing on the cover of Vanity Fair, shot by Annie Leibovitz, with the tagline ‘Call me Caitlyn.’
In January 2017, Caitlyn underwent sex reassignment surgery.
From 2015 and 2016, Caitlyn starred in her own reality series I Am Cait, which documented her journey.
From her first marriage to Chrystie, from 1972 until 1981, they had two children together Burton Jenner and Casey Jenner.
In 1981, Caitlyn married Linda Thompson and they had two sons together, Brandon Jenner and Brody Jenner, who is best known for appearing on the MTV reality series The Hills.
Caitlyn and Linda divorced in early 1987 and in April 1991, Caitlyn married Kris after five months of dating.
Caitlyn is also known for her world record-breaking sporting career.
At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Caitlyn won the men’s decathlon event, setting a world record.
Her win propelled her to global fame and she earned the unofficial title of the world’s greatest athlete.
After the 1976 Olympic Games, Caitlyn retired from sports and her world record was broken by the British athlete Daley Thompson at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
In 1980, Caitlyn was inducted into the United States National Track and Field Hall of Fame and in 1986 was inducted in the Olympic Hall of Fame.
