Caitlyn Jenner was a firm favourite on last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, getting stuck into every single challenge that came her way.
But the Olympian admitted there was one moment she was so unimpressed by a task that she refused to speak to Ant and Dec.
Yes, seriously.
During An Audience With Caitlyn Jenner – hosted by Roman Kemp at Brighton Dome – the 70-year-old was asked about her least favourite trial during her time in the jungle.
Barely hesitating, she told the crowd: ‘Roman and I were lucky they picked us to do it, because if they picked some of the [younger] girls, I think they would’ve really struggled, it was actually physically difficult to do. I even had a hard time.
‘But they did this Slop Of The Pops trial where we were strapped down and they had a thing with the worst stuff [coming] down.
‘I don’t even know what it was. We had everything…’
Recalling the trial, Roman continued: ’It was hard to break, it was really hard, but we did it and we managed to get full stars.
‘And then they bring it to the interview with Ant and Dec…
‘Just before the interview, she said to me, “I’m not going to say anything”. It was pretty awkward.’
Laughing about the situation, Caitlyn agreed: ‘It was very awkward. They looked over at me, expecting me to answer a question, and I never changed my expression.
‘I just looked at them with this ticked off look on my face.
‘I looked at both of them, they asked a question, and they got absolutely no response from me.
‘I’m thinking, “Why would I want to talk to these guys? I just had to go through this hell!” I’ve got bugs all over me, they don’t even clean you off…
‘All of a sudden, Dec goes, “Oh my god, Caitlyn’s not talking to us!”’
We wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of one of Caitlyn’s ‘ticked-off stares’, to be fair.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star enjoyed a mini reunion with Roman in Brighton, and reigning queen Jacqueline Jossa even took a second to pop in for the bash.
And she’ll be enjoying even more catch-ups over the next few days, jetting to London for the NTAs.
Lifting the lid on their plans together, Kate Garraway recently told the Loose Women panel: ‘Yes [Caitlyn has stayed in touch]. She’s coming back over to the UK for the National TV Awards next week, so we’ll all get to see her again then.
‘We haven’t actually seen her since because she was on that plane and out of there, “Can’t see me for dust, I want to get back to luxury!”’
Well, can you blame her?
