Caitlyn Jenner opens up about suicidal thoughts on Loose Women


Loose Women, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary have been discussing their highlights over the past two decades, with presenters highlighting the touching interview with Caitlyn Jenner as one of the shows most iconic moments.

Former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner appeared on the hit ITV show back in 2017 to discuss her book and transition.

Speaking to Jane Moore and Linda Robson, the reality TV legend shocked fans by talking frankly about how she considered suicide before her transition.

The decathlon icon said: “When you go through something like this, it’s not just you, it’s an entire family.”

She also added that telling her mum, Esther was the hardest thing she’d had to do.

Speaking with a radiant smile, Caitlyn went on to talk about how proud she is of Bruce Jenner and his achievements — including a gold Olympic medal and ten children.

The I Am Cait star spoke frankly about how her dad, tree surgeon William Jenner would have reacted to her news, saying at first he would have been confused but eventually would have been ok with his daughter’s decision.

She continued: “I have lived an amazing life, I did it [transitioned] when it was time for me.

“I am extraordinary comfortable with my body now and that took a long time.”

Kylie Jenner’s dad went on to discuss her book where she frankly talks about suicide saying: “I have a gun, I might as well use it. It’s an easy way out.”

The transgender icon added that she was feeling pressured by US gossip sites who she claims knew were going to run a story about her transition.

The legend famously transitioned in 2017, after announcing on TV with Diane Sawyer in 2015 that she was, in fact, a woman.

She made her debut appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair, titled: “Call me Caitlyn”.

The show also paid tribute to former presenter, the late Lynda Bellingham.
