Caitlyn Jenner has said she doesn’t like speaking about her gender reassignment surgery.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is set to make her I’m A Celebrity debut, when the reality show returns to ITV this month, but it seems there’s some topics she isn’t so willing to dish the dirt on.

Every year, viewers see campers open up while sat around the campfire in the Australian jungle and many will no doubt be hoping Caitlyn does exactly that.

From her famous family, to her time as an athlete back when she was Bruce and, of course, choosing to publicly come out as a trans woman in 2015.

But in an interview with The Mirror ahead of her jungle stint, Caitlyn has said she doesn’t like to talk too much about her gender reassignment surgery in 2017 that completed her transition.

She said: ‘It is not something I talk about. Yes, I had gender confirmation and that for me was important.’

Caitlyn explained: ‘For many trans people it is not important to them. But for me it was. Femininity and womanhood is in your brain and in your soul. That is the issue.

‘It is not what is between your legs. So yes, I had it done. But that is all out of respect to me, my privacy but also respect to the community. It is really not something you talk about.’

Caitlyn is expected to join the likes of Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway and Captial FM’s Roman Kemp on I’m A Celebrity this year.

Although, the US star admits she has ‘no idea’ what being in the jungle actually entails. Err, Caitlyn you probably should have read up on this one.

According to The Sun, when one reporter wished Caitlyn good luck ahead of her appearance, she replied: ‘Thank you. I don’t know how it works.’

Shall you break it to her or should I that she’ll be stripped back to basic rations, has to wash in a river, will potentially end up eating bugs and drinking cockroach smoothies all in the name of dinner and will be forced to sleep alongside rats, snakes, spiders, the lot, all for the British public’s entertainment?

Rather you than us, Caitlyn. Rather you than us.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns on Sunday, 17 November, on ITV.
