Cadbury confirms UK version of Caramilk bars will be released next week

The Caramilk launch is finally happening (Picture: Cadbury)

For years, Cadbury fans have been jealous of those in Australia and New Zealand who have been enjoying the taste of Caramilk – a caramelised white chocolate.

When rumours surfaced earlier this year of the release of a UK version, people were excited.

And now the brand has confirmed to Metro.co.uk that the news is true – Caramilk will be available in the UK from Monday June 21.

You’ll be able to buy it online from Cadbury Gifts Direct for £1.49 for one 90g bar or a box of 24 for £35.76 if you really want to stock up.

Currently listed as out of stock, Cadbury said that stock will be added on the launch day.

Of course, you’ll also have to pay delivery to order through the site but the bars will also be available at all major retailers, rolling out from Monday.

On the website, Cadbury says: ‘Cadbury are launching in the UK Cadbury Caramilk Golden Caramel chocolate- a caramlised white chocolate.

‘Enjoy the smooth golden blend of caramelised white chocolate.

‘Caramilk is a Cadbury product enjoyed in other countries around the world and it’s now time for the UK to taste this amazing bar.’

Many websites and high street store B&M have previously imported the bars from Australia, but this is the first time a UK made bar will be available.

Although some stores may discount the bar, the £1.49 price tag for a 90g bar does seem quite high as the imported 180g bar currently costs £2.99 at B&M.
