B*Witched star Keavy Lynch has opened up on feeling like she ‘wasn’t even sure if I wanted to live’ anymore after the 90s pop band split in 2002.

The 39-year-old was one of the four members of the Irish pop band, who won over the charts with hit songs such as C’est La Vie and Blame It On The Weatherman, but has since revealed that after a whirlwind couple of years in the spotlight, she struggled with returning to her old life.

‘It was a weird thing where we were in reality but we were walking around going, “I literally don’t know what I want, I can choose anything, but I am completely lost”,’ she said of her time in the band.

‘It was the oddest thing having to integrate back in to how we used to live,’ she said.

‘I got to the point in my life where I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to live, I get quite tearful saying that now.

‘I haven’t thought about that in a long time.’

Keavy revealed that she had major concerns with reuniting the band for ITV2 show, The Big Reunion but when producers told her it would be on her terms, she agreed to the show.

Now Keavy is back with sister Edele Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll for a performance at London’s The Grand Goes Pop event; Keavy and Edele’s brother, Boyzone star Shane Lynch, will also be DJing at the event.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Keavy added: ‘When I look back now, I just think that I can’t believe I was in a place where I found it so hard to say that I need help.

‘It’s the stigma attached to it. I just didn’t feel brave enough to say I wasn’t doing okay because I thought people would judge me or they’d laugh.

‘It was the best thing I ever did and I wish I did it years earlier.’

The band were active between 1997 and 2002, with their first four singles all reaching number one in the UK Singles Chart.

They were dropped by their record company after the release of their third album, and when Sinead decided to leave, the group split up.
