A launch rollercoaster is a coaster that uses motors to propel the carts instead of using a traditional chain lift.

However, The Pantheon will have more than one launch pad, which increases its speed throughout the rides – most rides are propelled just once at the beginning, and then use momentum to get the carts back to the station.

The launch pads will propel passengers both forwards and backwards along the 3,300ft track.

During the ride, guests will also experience two inversions and a 95 degree drop.

The new ride’s name comes from Roman mythology, and is themed on five of the well-known gods – Jupiter, Mercury, Minerva, Neptune, and Pluto.

Passengers will enjoy two thrilling minutes, with up to 40 riders at a time on two trains.

According to Busch Gardens president Kevin Lembke, the ride is nearly “100 per cent complete”.

While the exact opening date is yet to be revealed, it is expected to launch in the spring following testing next month.

The park in Virginia is also rumoured to be opening a new attraction next year, after plans showing another rollercoaster were leaked.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg day tickets start from $76.99 (£59) while annual passes start from $132 (£100).

Busch Gardens in Florida opened the tallest rollercoaster in Florida last year, with Tigris launching passengers up to 63mph.

Another ride opening at Busch Gardens is Iron Gwazi, to be the fastest and tallest hybrid rollercoaster.

In Florida, there is an all inclusive park called Discovery Cove.
