BTS have already proven there’s not much they can’t do – so really we shouldn’t be surprised that they’ve raised a whopping $83,000 (£630,000) for charity.

The lads’ signed microphones were sold at the MusiCares auction along with items from the likes of Aerosmith and Halsey, and the end result exceeded expectations in a big way.
Racking up more than $80,000 (£60,000), the first item to be auctioned from the band, which is made up of RM, V, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, Jin and Jimin, was only expected to rake in between $10,000 (£7600) and $20,000 (£15,000) in the Grammy week auction.
The band are also set to perform at the Grammys on Sunday.
Aerosmith, who received the MusiCares annual Person of the Year award, donated items including a signed microphone from frontman Steven Tyler, and a signed guitar from Joe Perry, which both went for more than $7000 (£5000).
Items from Halsey, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, and Eddie Vedder also raised money for the Recording Academy’s MusiCares program, which provides health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to people in the music community in times of need.
BTS and the ARMY are no strangers to doing their part for charity, with fans previously donating blood in Korea for Jimin’s birthday, and making donations to J-Hope’s hometown for his birthday.
Jin was also previously inducted into UNICEF’s Honours Club after secretly donating 100 million won (£67,000) to charity.
While Seok-jin has actually been a regular donor since last May, his donations have been so impressive that UNICEF has decided to publicly recognise his generosity.
Jin has been keeping his donations secret for the past year, but agreed to announce his membership of the Honours Club as he believes ‘good influence grows if it is shared’.
Secretary General of UNICEF Korea, Lee Ki Chul, said: ‘We express our gratitude to BTS’s Jin, who has become an inspiration to youth around the world with a message of hope, for his meaningful donations.
‘We hope that his donations will help bring more attention to our work from younger generation.’
