The BTS boys are taking over the world.

After the band were confirmed to appear on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, it was announced that the K-pop superstars are set to headline Good Morning America’s summer concert series.

The gig means that the band will kick off the selection of shows on 15 May with their performance, followed by new shows every week in New York’s Central Park from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Chance the Rapper, French Montana and more.

No more details about the performance, or which songs the band might sing, have been revealed – but on the plus side, it’s only two weeks until we find out.

This announcement comes after BTS made history by becoming the first Korean act to win Top Group at the Billboard Music Awards.

After winning Top Social Artist for the third year running, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, V and J-Hope seemed shellshocked as they beat Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, Dan + Shay and Panic! At The Disco to the prize.

RM said: ‘Thank you, ARMY. Still can’t believe we’re here on this stage with so many great artists, oh my God.

‘ARMY, this is only possible because of the little things we shared together. The BTS and ARMY power, right?

‘And we’re still the same boys from six years ago. We still have the same dreams. We still have the same feelings, we still have the same thoughts. So let’s keep dreaming the best dreams together. Thank you. I love you all.’

The band also performed their new song Boy With Luv with Halsey at the ceremony.

According to Forbes, this past week has been the band’s second strongest of their career so far thanks to their impressive music sales.

What a time to be BTS.
